The whole of sphinx-fediverse's doc page (domain-local only) is about 800KiB. It's fetching ~465KiB from other sources (mostly Mastodon, a little from shields.io). That's 1.234 MiB.
A lot of that is from fonts or resources outside of my control. I think I would only be able to trim down a few KiB without just removing fonts/images wholesale. I think that's pretty good, tbh
