Nah, the modern Left is all about violence since its founding in the French Revolution. Its who the violence targets that's a partial change from the traditional (it's still very imperialistic).
Currently in the US, yes, bugmen are taught to be pacifists because among other reasons that makes them easy to control, also because women are a very major part of its faction (although their hind brains crave men capable of violence).
Its use of violence is manifest, be it statistical anarcho-tyranny of soft on crime policies and violent negroes and/or Muslims, "invite the world" imported if necessary, its use of paramilitaries like Antifa which in Europe are sometimes funded by the state, in violent policing especially of white normies and the "far right," all the way to the invade the world extreme.
