The thing is that the arguments of potentially losing the case and elections don't hold up. Assange did nothing illegal and is neither a US citizen nor did he commit a crime in the US. There is absolutely no legal basis required to convict people if the state wants it done. Neither do they fear the public as they made Epstein disappear as well. Neither do they fear elections as the entire concept is a charade.
So that leaves two options, Assange is for real and has leverage that makes killing him worse and that comes with it's own set of problems. Or it's another deep state theater
