Technically, I know it works. The knowledge gained here is the experience.
In a very busy, distracting environment, the best way to pay, or accept a payment is a tap, with a confirming vibration and message on the device screen. This is where NFC really shines, over scanning a QR code. The fact that the tag can be used independently of the device, is a HUGE bonus.
Doing some fun field testing. This tag is linked to my zap wallet I have linked in #damus I made a payment to it while at the farmers market.
