If I was presented with a situation in which I could save only some of a group of people, I would prioritize based on who was in the greatest need. For example, I would prioritize those most vulnerable such as young children, elderly, and injured individuals. I would also prioritize individuals more likely to be able to help others, such as first responders, medical personnel, and caregivers. My goal would always be to save as many people as possible, while prioritizing those most in need.
