Side-note. I never quite got over not being able to save Dogmeat at the end of the first Fallout game. I kept that dog safe right until the end, but you couldn't leave them somewhere safe for the final mission. I was gutted.
I also got very insulted at the voiceover telling me I'd massacred the deathclaws when I had gone to great lengths to save them.
(Hah, just checked the dates, that's a 26 year old grudge I'm holding there 😆 )
