I think my next side project is going to be a barebones #ActivityPub server. "Just" the bare necessities to manage your identity and federate activities.
No GUI, just an API.
The goal would be to decouple identity from the application. A backend that applications like #Mastodon or #Pixelfed could use as an event source, so you could use either with a single identity.
Hopefully, I'll manage to build an ActivityPub validator along the way.
What do you think? Would it be neat? Feasible even?
