Just received an email from Mash informing me that they’re shutting down and that I need to sweep my wallet.
This is not a criticism of them. Startups are f*cking hard; insanely so. They clearly worked hard to ship good products.
But it is (another) reminder that “X, but with Lightning” is not enough; far from it. The product and the experience must be 10x better than the incumbents’. Here’s hoping they can get there.
