Shouldn’t affect the hardware, the resource requirements are fairly minimal. Mostly space for the blockchain and about 1GB RAM.
But IMO it’s probably not worth running a node for only 8hours a day, better to just have a dedicated hardware for the node and run it 24/7 instead.
