The issue is we don't really have technology that allows a podcast advertiser (either programatic or sponsor) to show a banner on the podcast player or a QR code (like Youtube does on TV).
I am a firm believer we need to come up with a better way for those podcasts that do support ads and make their revenue via that format.
If Podcasting 2.0 wants to lead the way, we should really be supporting everything we don't have to always agree. But we have the chance to upset IAB.
