When I have in the past mentioned the Jewish culture and their infighting, I've said - if you leave the Jews to themselves, they will start killing each other over their own religion.
This is the kind of split I am talking about. Some of the ultra-orthodox don't believe Israel should even exist. So, they take exception to being made to join its' military.
