It's sad we, as a society, define "freedom" as preventing the government from stopping billionaires from abusing us. It's not the "free market" Adam Smith envisioned, and it's far from what all the empirical evidence shows leads to better outcomes for society (including the rich, by most metrics).

This is another thing we can thank the Koch Brothers for. They paid handsomely for econ programs to push this one, very narrow, view. And they continue to do so.
