They really don't understand what actually constitutes evidence, do they? The existence of the Universe only indicates the existence of a god if you *already* believe in the existence of a god. I get that acceptance of circular reasoning is fundamental to most religions, but in discussions with the unconverted it literally can't be used as evidence.
