Unpicking "The fediverse needs to do [x]" posts

My feed is heavy again today with posts about what "the fediverse" needs to do.
My (perhaps slightly grumpy) feeling is that each post would be improved by being clearer about exactly *who* they think must do *what*, rather than using an abstraction layer.
