Because "intelligence" is difficult to quantify, it can be used as a tool to denigrate people we don't like (as a Black person, I'm intensely aware of this).
But even with that in mind, I find it hard to accept that Trump is intelligent. He's definitely cunning and has some sort of instinct, but I struggle to accept more than that.
