The Beretta 92 is a 9mm handgun that has been in service around the globe since 1976 and has been the primary US military sidearm since 1985, known as the M9. It's an excellent, full sized handgun with a mostly metal construction that makes it suitable for the toughest environments (and lowers recoil). If you have a chance to pick one up, especially as a surplus, I highly recommend it.
