Funnily enough, someone from Thiel’s company once contacted me and offered to fly me to the US to “discuss my ideas” with Thiel. This prospect did not appeal to me in the slightest, so I declined without asking for more details.
But I did wonder if maybe Thiel had read “Distress” and wanted to talk about Stateless! He might have been very disappointed to learn that it was mainly intended as a metaphor for the physics/metaphysics of the book, and I was not remotely interested in seasteading.
