When people do habitat work for waterfowl, a lot of money ends up further north where the nesting grounds are. Even American conservation groups often very highly prioritize efforts on those nesting grounds as a way to improve species health in their own regions. I guess what I'm trying to say is, what's good for the Canada goose is good for the Michigander.
