Very impressive upgrade for the Tandy 1000HX/EX - 640K RAM + 16550-buffered serial port + IDE controller w/ CF card slot. Assembled and tested for $100 (kit only for $75).

I've got these upgrades in my 1000HX spread across three boards, the RAM expander required me to purchase an entire rough-state 1000EX just to harvest its RAM card.

I wish this had been a thing back when I was expanding out that HX about 5 years ago.
