Why I can’t wait to leave S. FL
Reason 541:
This morning after dropping off my kids at school, I found myself in need of diesel. So I go to the nearest fueling station with diesel. Not only were cars parked everywhere except out of the way of vehicles needing fuel, every diesel pump was block by a gas car with no driver to be found. “Theres also gas pumps at the diesel pumps too!” you say? Sure, but there was plenty of gas only pumps available they could’ve taken up first. Apparently a little consideration and forward thinking is too much to ask for.
Reason 542:
After leaving that station because of no diesel pumps available, I go across the street to a different gas station and pull up to a diesel pump. Stick my card in the slot….nothing. And now it won’t give me back my card, it’s stuck in the reader. A few minutes of messing around with it and it comes out, phew. No harm no foul. So instead I go inside to pay…and what the heck, I’ll get a coffee and a Celsius while in there. I get my stuff, and bring it to the counter where there’s no one behind the 2” thick glass that guards the register. Instead the clerk is talking obnoxiously loud with another woman about 5’ away from me. I stand there for a 15 or so seconds. Nothing. Then I look over a stack of beer cases at them…nothing. I wait another minute while looking in their direction (you know, that look of, “hey, I’m ready to pay” look) but I get no acknowledgment of my presence. Obviously I get aggravated at this point so I just start walking away, coffee and Celsius still on the counter (I’m no thief). It wasn’t til this point that I hear them yelling “Señor venga aquí!” as one tried to scurry to the register before I walked out.
I’m not going to beg to give you my business, there’s still business out there that would happily take my money for their product…although they are getting harder to find.
I had to go to 3 gas stations this morning just to get fuel and a coffee.
WTH has happened to good service from a business.
Thank you for reading my rant
