Marble Canyon, AZ
There are a few dispersed campsites along the end of a sketchy road off Hwy 89A next to Marble Canyon (upstream of Grand Canyon.) Spectacular views, but exposed to every whim of nature. This image taken in the calm after a fierce storm that brought rain and brutal winds.
This is a view of the regionally famous Vermillion Cliffs taken from the edge of Badger Canyon whose many layered rim is seen at the bottom.
I reprocessed from the RAW file this morning as I'd previously used too heavy a hand in editing. My goal is to show the beauty of nature as seen on the ground without excessive contrast or saturation.
