Not a network guy, but I understand enough. But sometimes the actual “network guys” make no sense. They do things piecemeal w/o regard to other parts of network.
Like they set up a site to site tunnel. Cool. Overdue. But both sides have their own internal DNS. Non-mirrored. Both have assets named the same thing on each network. Even the domains are the same. So you have dev1.contoso.com on both sides. Where does that resolve?
This will get “fixed.” But will cause new problems I’m sure. 🙄
