just discovered minipaint. it's an open source pure html5 image editor. it's actually surprisingly useful and powerful. probably in between ms paint and the gimp for functionality (with support for layers, for example), but still easy for basic use
found this while looking for an actual simple paint or slightly more powerful than paint replacement on linux, which i surprisingly hard to find. i hate using the gimp. krita seems really cool but heavy and more about digital painting
