We liked to think that we were railing against the small minded attitudes of the past. How has it managed to be perpetuated?

In the early 80s pink shirts and jumpers were fashionable for men. If wearing pink made you gay then about 50% of adult men would have gone gay in the 80s and we'd now be facing a major downward curve in the population.
