Actually that factoid is a bit more complicated than they make it sound. Chlamydia is a bacteria and I don't believe there are vaccines being made for bacteria. I had it in my eyes from a cat once and it took forever to find out what it was. I think my bf gave it to me once also! But a short dosage of anti-biotics cured it both times so I wonder why they can't be used for the koalas eyes.

This makes me think that men would rather try and make a profit on a vaccine paid for by taxpayers than cover the costs of the forests they're likely to have been responsible for destroying though that's the most obvious solution to the problem. I believe it's a very easy tree to grow there as it's native, and they have so many beneficial uses.
