Just be sure not to pic a slab with a lot of mica, it wont last. If a spot looks rough go at it with a fingernail. if you can pick mica out of it, it's probly not a good slab for a kitchen. I've seen those on countertops, i've even seen where they cracked along a mica vein, or worse, when they sold a slab of metamorphic rock as "granite". )
