I'm gonna throw this question out into the ether and see what catches:
When it comes to R34 of your favorite characters, do you feel it's important to know the source material if you're going to enjoy lewd art of them? Obviously barring OCs (unless they have lore) or randoms an artist might draw on a whim, I feel more of an attachment when I know where a character is from and at least a little bit about them. It just helps me to enjoy it more. But what about you all?
