I suspect almost all infosec work would only exist inside the paradigm of capitalism. let's say you think communism or something is a better system and works great. in communism we still invent computers for coordinating society even though a world war never happened. computers are built according to need not according to demands of capitalism or worse is better. so they are incredibly secure. you just don't need people to apply band-aid fixes to billions of computers constantly. things just work. instead of infosec you're sent to mine coal or work on a farm or something
