Liberals and conservatives alike may express a desire to “save” people from sex work but a line neither will cross, a possibility that is literally unthinkable, is saving people from *work*. When confronted they will admit: it is “necessary” to force people to work, and more important, and so every solution must take the form of working out how to force people to work in roles that are either inaccessible or worse. Unsurprisingly these approaches fail.
