Ironically kind of true to it's heritage, the 9mm Colt SMG despite being a proper military weapon actually looks fucking shit, like a joke someone would do by taking their short barrel AR-15 and just shoving an uzi mag into the well and taking a picture. Would have looked better if it was actually a smaller affair like the MP5 with an actually shortened G3.
Honestly the only way I can think to make a Cali compliant weapon cool is like I said the Garand mechanism but do it on a mini-14 in 5.56mm with a mag big enough for 10 rounds. At least then you could reload your gun a lot quicker and in a more cool manner than other circumcized ARs
