You just got a legit movie offer for your book. What do you do first?
Get a good lawyer to review the contract & claw back as much power for myself as possible. I'm not adverse to changes for a different medium, but I wouldn't want things completely off the rails. Honestly, it would come down to who was offering and how much they respected my work.
