I think that the specific ActivityPub software is not the problem
Mastodon, Lemmy, Misskey,.... none of these matter when it comes to the hostility, anti-blackness, and mistreatment of marginalized voices. In fact, the idea that the AP specific software will make a difference re: the racism and privileged jerks...it's very similar to the idea the privileged folks will make to marginalized people: "...just choose another instance", "You need to use the tools"
Notice in these arguments how it puts the onus back onto the marginalized voice. Telling marginalized voices to choose another instsnce or that maybe they should try this or that...it makes no attempt to address the core issue of racism and privileged bullshit in the Fddiverse.
