I got into generative AI quite recently (October 2023). SDXL was already established, so I went with it. I don't have the history of using SD1.5, so I can't say whether my decision was a good, or bad one.
I am happy with my results, but do miss the unpredictability of MJ, which I seldom use since v6.0 got out of alpha.
I'm skipping Cascade, for I don't see it being widely adopted now that SD3 has been announced. Hopefully it's not just FUD to keep the competition at bay.
