There's this really exhausting thing that happens where the worst right-wing hacks in the world will create messaging about something, and then supposed leftists immediately start copying that messaging.
The Handmaid's Tale is such a great example. Deranged right-wingers love saying that the show and book are cringey, iver the top, etc. Then come along "leftists" who go "oh yeah this show is so cringe because obviously this is white women minimizing what women of color go through" or some other absolutely unhinged response that amounts to endorsing the right-wing culture critique in the public eye.
This happens constantly and once you notice it you'll realize it's everywhere.
