I know of him, but I do not know him, know very little about him hence have no opinion of him in any personal way.
However, my impression is, and I might be wrong.
Hmmm... I don't mean to insult him by what I'm going to say next, understand what I mean and not what I say.
Having Michael Saylor on bitcoin podcasts and such is a bit like having Elmo Musk on to discuss bitcoin. Hope you guys remember when he was on some live stream to discuss bitcoin with that Ark lass, what's her name now. *Sorry*
*Elmo Musk is/was utterly ignorant, does not care and is a waste of time from a "Bitcoiner" and Bitcoin perspective.
Elmo is a complete waste of time. Michael S. may not be from a bitcoiners perspective, I don't know.
Michael likes the scarcity and the fact that Bitcoin exists and works.
He likes that it has liquidity.
He is not a libertarian.
Bitcoins social potential is second.
He want's to protect his wealth and if Bitcoin executes it's potential. Things are looking good. It's definitely worth wile.
He understands Bitcoin, the technology.
But he wants regulatory/legal clarity and protection for his assets/investment.
He is a business man.
The token is the primary value of Bitcoin for him.
He is not and will not push the envelope on development of Bitcoin.
He is not supporting the development of the network economically. Am I right here or wrong?
I might be wrong regarding all the above.
However, to want regulatory clarity and acceptance is what *every* Bitcoiner or owner of Bitcoin/Bitcoin EFT/... should want, lobby and advocate for.
Any thing else is ... um strange.
Based on utxo's list, my assumption is, He is a ...rebel?
Look, passing the hurdle of regulatory clarity and acceptance with a good legal framework surrounding is a must.
If you think not. Why don't you download the original BTC client release, mine your own Genesis block, put up a firewall, not have your hardware plugged in to *anything*. No network, nothing, and start mining.
Imagine the bitcoins all you will make... have.
My precious?
Having clarity and acceptance or precious?
