It has occurred to me, just listening to an old podcast episode on Atlantis, that perhaps the "Martian Origin" of humans in H Beam Piper's Lord Kalvan (and other stories) AH multiverse is a strike against the "Out of Africa" origin of humans, and so, is racist as frak.
