Women in the culture I grew up in were totally brainwashed to "accept their position". I know literally hundreds of women who are content to accept the "conservative" patriarchy - many of them are my relatives. There are young women all over the country (especially the South) right now that have been raised in evangelical Christian churches who are apt to fall right into that trap. Some will break the programming, but most will not have the resources 😪
