We've had similar conversations about this. You think the this kind of activism turns more people away (a cost) than we gain from increasing awareness (a benefit). My guess is it's the other way. I have no interest in hashing that out again.
Instead, if you wanted to discuss how we would actually quantify the costs and benefits to try to determine if it's successful or not, I'm very game.
What data would we want to see? What case studies can we draw on?
