Anecdotally there’s a swath of folks online who ostensibly fetishise ‘productivity’. Consequently, they create ever-more complex mechanisms around the notion of productivity — rather than actually doing the thing you need to do.
This behaviour is echoed in the JS industrial complex where folks download 30 different NPM modules just to document.write()
Pen and paper have the least overhead, and manually writing/drawing has been shown to help understanding/retention.
