While walking on the Stanford campus this afternoon, we encountered:
• two women singing along to “Vienna” by Billy Joel playing on a portable Bluetooth speaker
• a young woman wearing a “Beatles Revolver 1966” hoodie
• a young man in the iconic Ramones tee
These were undergraduates. They weren’t alive in 2000, much less 1987 or 1975 or 1966. I don’t remember singing Cab Calloway or wearing a Scott Joplin high collar and cravat when I was in college.
