#WritersCoffeeClub 2/17: How do you get proofreaders/editors if you don't pay them?
Twice did I attempt to publish a book without a paid editor. The first was a friend who had no idea what he was doing and I disappeared that book completely.
Second was launching a new series and couldn't afford it. Started to get reviews about errors and panicked, returned to my editor and haven't looked back.
My editor has edited about 17 of my works now, which is all but two. Had another editor briefly.
