So in addition to blocking Signal, I've discovered that the network at my spouse's work blocks Wireguard connections, which is what I use to connect back to my home network. Reading online, I've found that I could try to install ShadowSocks for Wireguard, or switch to something else like Tailscale, Zerotier, Easytier, Nebula, etc. Anyone out there have an opinion or two?
