A fundamental incompatibility between my partner and I is the beach.
She loves the beach. I hate the beach.
I do not like sand, stones, rocks, or being barefoot outdoors. I do not like direct sunlight. I do not like bodies of water. I have more than fear but not quite phobia level terror of large bodies of water, like if I can't see the bottom of it, and across the other side, it's no good to me.
The beach also just feels so exposed.
I hate it.
