A kind of queasy, itchy feeling rather than terror, shock, or strong disgust. I think that's because the objects and experiences which tend to elicit a sense of the uncanny are often not directly threatening; like, a mannequin, not a big monster. And if the mannequin tries to bite you in the head we've crossed over into terror territory! 😄
