I lived in Mexico for half of it. People sort of gave it lipservice. They seemed to believe the news, but also they didn't really care too much. They'd wear masks under their nose or chin all the time. Lots of places didn't enforce the mandates out of apathy. Eventually they just started ignoring the government and going about their normal lives, so the government just gave up pretending to have control.

Supposedly a bunch of people got jabbed, but I wouldn't be surprised if the injections were fake or mishandled. Embezzlement is rampant; no doubt there were doctors selling the real jabs on the black market then giving out saline solution to patients. And certainly the vials were not kept at the right temperature, even the ones that were real. I also wouldn't be surprised if there were doctors who pretended to give out tons of jabs in order to get money somehow, but actually just dumped them on the side of the road.
