Just sealing the wood right now. Going with a transparent matte sealant to keep it as close to natural as possible.
In a couple places the wood has weeped tiny sap beads. I've been leaving them. I find it a personal connection with the trees that they were, kind of a touching reminder to me that not long ago they were growing proudly in Norway.
