Let's make something else clear - if violence is wrong, then so was this instance of violence.

The definitions cannot change just because we don't like the target/victim/whateveryou'recallinghim. If the definitions change based on whether we like the target or not, then we don't really hold the beliefs we profess to hold.

Quibbling over whether "he deserved it" or not looks bad, not only to those on the right, but those of us in the center who think both sides need to STFU and quit being hypocrites.
