I have to tell you, Mastodon feels like coming home.
Obviously we all like it here, or we'd be elsewhere.
But the lack of an algorithm, the lack of fascist moderators, the broad lack of fascists. The lack of advertising, which is very frequently an arm of fascism in this day and age, is simply a joy.
Twitter, Facebook/Instagram/Threads, Bluesky, TikTok ... all in the hands of authoritarians intent on setting the bounds of what acceptable discourse is.
I'm grateful for Mastodon, I am.
