The first edition was published on May 16, 1960, the same year the country's capital was inaugurated. At the time, it was called the Official Gazette of the Federal District Prefecture and featured the first official act, which dealt with the administrative organization of the new territory. Since then, the DODF has daily recorded official acts that shape public life in the federal capital. From decrees and appointments to laws and contracts, everything is recorded, ensuring transparency, legality, and public access to information. "The Official Gazette is an institutional heritage of the Federal District. It represents the government's commitment to clarity, legality, and public responsibility. Over the past 65 years, the DODF has been a bridge between the state and society, ensuring that every official act is accessible and verifiable," explains Gustavo Rocha, Chief Secretary of the Civil House. Along the way, the DODF has followed changes in governments and city transformations, from typewritten pages to 100% digital editions, adapting to new times without compromising its original mission: officially recording each step of the public administration of the Federal District. "The digitalization of the DODF was a turning point. We transformed a historical document into a modern tool, with easy navigation, fast search, and total accessibility. The citizen no longer needs to go to any agency to consult an act: they can do it from their cell phone, wherever they are," emphasizes Raiana do Egito, Executive Secretary of Official Acts of the Civil House.
