I've just realized that I've now been working from home and full time on @OctoPrint for 10 years.
In August 2014 I was hired by a company in Madrid to just do my thing. Switching to full time would enable me to create the plugin system, which got released in 2015. The company would later run out of money and let me go, so in 2016 I then went 100% crowd funded.
Looking back, I used to spend way more time on development vs maintenance. The project was smaller, there was less pull on me... 1/
